An Act providing for a veteran service officer at Clear Path for Veterans New England, Inc.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 115 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following paragraph:-
The secretary of veterans’ services shall, in consultation with Clear Path for Veterans New England, Inc., appoint a veterans’ benefits and services officer to support veterans and dependents residing in the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone created by chapter 498 of the acts of 1993.
SECTION 2. Said chapter 115 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 3B, as so appearing, the following section:-
Section 3C. The veterans’ benefits and services officer appointed by the secretary of veterans’ services to support veterans and dependents residing in the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone pursuant to section 3 shall be subject to all general and special laws and regulations applicable to veterans’ benefits and services officers, as defined in section 3B, including, but not limited to, said sections 3 3B.
Said veterans’ benefits and services officer may maintain an office at the same location as Clear Path for Veterans New England, Inc. in the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone and may provide services in conjunction with Clear Path for Veterans New England, Inc. in the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone.
