An Act relative to emergency medical services.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
“It shall be the policy of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that “Ambulance Services” and “Emergency Medical Services” as defined by Chapter 111C, Section 1, shall be considered an essential public safety department required by laws similar to fire and police departments that each community is required to provide and fund yearly, and further it shall be the policy of Municipal Corporations within the commonwealth that they shall provide for the maintenance of ambulance services in addition to all other first responder services, subject to regulations promulgated by EOPPS.”
