An Act Public Employee Income Protection Act.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, any state employee covered by an expired collective bargaining agreement for longer than 6 months shall receive a wage increase equal to the most recent amount received by the members of the general court under the provisions of Chapter 1 of the Acts of 2017. The amount of additional regular compensation paid to employees of the Commonwealth shall continue to be adjusted annually to reflect the aggregate quarterly change in salaries and wages in the commonwealth for the most recent 4 quarters as determined by the Bureau of Economic Analysis in the United States Department of Commerce until a successor agreement is reached and ratified.
