An Act providing pension benefits to the surviving spouse of Worcester police officer Emmanuel Familia.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 100 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Worcester retirement system shall provide the benefits provided by said section 100 of said chapter 32 to Jennifer Familia, the surviving spouse of city of Worcester police officer Emmanuel Familia, who was killed in the performance of his duties on June 4, 2021.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect as of June 4, 2021.
