An Act to end toll evasion and to ensure prompt vehicle identification.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 6 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the second sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The said number plates shall be kept uncovered and clean with the numbers legible and shall not be obscured in any manner by the installation of any device covering or obscuring said numbers, including a device of transparent materials, and during the period when the vehicle or trailer is required to display lights the rear register number shall be illuminated so as to be plainly visible at a distance of 60 feet.
