An Act to promote equity among lessors.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 87DDD1/2 of chapter 112, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- This fee shall only be paid by the lessor of the residential dwelling and cannot be transferred to or paid by any other party.
