An Act authorizing the town of Middleborough to change the name of its Board of Selectmen to Select Board.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The name of town of Middleborough's Board of Selectmen shall be changed to Select Board.
SECTION 2. The town of Middleborough Select Board shall have all the powers and authority and be subject to all duties and requirements applicable to a board of selectmen under the General Laws including all laws accepted by the Town, under all special acts of the General Court applicable to the Town including the Town Charter (Chapter 592 of the Acts of 1920, as amended) and under all state regulations applicable to a board of selectmen.
SECTION 3. The town of Middleborough's Town Charter (Chapter 592 of the Acts of 1920, as amended) shall be amended by changing board of selectmen to select board, selectmen to select board and selectman to select board member whenever board of selectmen, selectmen and selectman appear in the Town Charter.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
