An Act authorizing the conveyance of a conservation restriction on the land known as Inter Lochen Park in the town of Sharon.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, the town of Sharon, acting by and through its Conservation Commission, may grant to the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Inc. a permanent conservation restriction under sections 31 and 32 of chapter 184 of the general laws in and to all or portions of certain parcels of land owned by the town of Sharon identified in section 2 below. Such conservation restriction may be granted to and held by the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Inc. The grant shall be for conservation and recreational purposes, including the preservation and protection of water resources, wildlife and native habitats, sustainable forest management and passive recreational uses. A portion of the property identified in section 2 was acquired by the Town through tax taking (Map 55, Parcel 10) and the remaining parcels were acquired for conservation purposes. The entire property is currently in the care, custody, management and control of the Sharon Conservation Commission and used as natural open space and for public passive recreation.
SECTION 2. The parcels are identified as follows:
All the lands, including lands under water, sometimes known as Inter Lochen Park located in the Town of Sharon, more specifically identified by the Town of Sharon assessor as Map 54, Parcel 18; Map 43 Parcel 15; Map 64, Parcel 64; Map 55, Parcel 10; and Map 53 Parcel 73, however such lands may be described.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
