An Act to ensure pension parity for County Jail and Lockup employees..
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 3 paragraph g of subdivision 2 the following:-
Notwithstanding paragraph (g) of subdivision (2) of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law to the contrary, in addition to the sheriff; special sheriff, superintendents, assistant superintendents, assistant deputy superintendents and booking, evidence and transport supervisors and officers of the Dukes County sheriff’s department jail facility or Dukes County sheriff’s department lockup facility shall be classified in Group 4 for the purposes of chapter 32, in parity with other County correctional facility employees..
