An Act designating a certain bridge in the town of Needham the private first class David “Damon” Borrelli memorial bridge.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The Great Plain Ave. Bridge No. N-04-011, in the Town of Needham, shall be designated and known as the Private First Class David “Damon” Borrelli Memorial Bridge in recognition of David Borrelli. Private First Class David Borrelli was killed in action on eleven July 1941 in France. Serving in the United States Army, A Company, 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, David was in the initial invasion on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. David was killed at the age of twenty-one in the Battle of Saint-Lô, a crossroads town in Normandy that was reduced to rubble. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
