LaNatra (by vote of the town) for legislation to authorize the town of Middleborough to convey certain conservation land in the town.  Municipalities and Regional Government.  [Local approval received]

An Act authorizing the town of Middleborough to convey certain conservation land in the town.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The town of Middleborough, acting by and through its board of selectmen and conservation commission, may convey to Renee M. Andrews a parcel of conservation land in the town, which is part of Pratt farm and is included in a deed recorded with the Plymouth county registry of deeds in book 6673, page 151 containing 10,000 square feet of land being part of lot 3635 on the town of Middleborough assessor’s map 51 and shown as lot A on a plan entitled “28 Sachem Street, Middleborough, MA” dated February 19, 2021 prepared by Allen & Major Associates, Inc. recorded with the Plymouth registry of deeds in book 65, page 437.

SECTION 2. In exchange for the conveyance in section 1, the town of Middleborough board of selectmen and conservation commission shall accept for the town of Middleborough a parcel of land shown as lot B on a plan entitled “28 Sachem Street, Middleborough, MA” dated February 19, 2021 prepared by Allen & Major Associates, Inc. recorded with the Plymouth registry of deeds in book 65, page 437.

SECTION 3. The parcel described in section 2 shall be acquired by the town of Middleborough conservation commission for conservation purposes to be a part of Pratt farm under the management and control of the conservation commission.

SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
