Bridge number C-04-004, on Rochester Road, over the Weweantic River, in the towns of Middleborough and Carver, shall be designated and known as the Medal of Honor Bridge in recognition of the three Medal of Honor recipients from the towns of Middleborough and Carver: Lowell M. Maxham, Patrick Regan and Wayne M. Caron. The Town of Middleborough is the only town in the country to have multiple Medal of Honor recipients. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department. The Department shall designate a section of the sign, in a conspicuous manner, to name the three recipients of the Medal of Honor Bridge in the towns of Middleborough and Carver.
