An Act to promote equity for employees who take leave for the birth, adoption, or placement for a foster child.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Subsection (f) of section 2 of chapter 175M of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting, after the second sentence, the following: Time off the payroll is not creditable service for the purpose of calculating seniority, step anniversary, vacation milestones, and longevity, except in circumstances when an employee qualifies for leave under this chapter or under section 105D of chapter 149.
