An Act relative to civics education.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, all school districts shall submit to the Joint Committee on Education, the House and Senate Committee on Ways and Means, and the Clerks of the House and the Senate their plans to implement a culturally competent civics education curriculum including but not limited to the history and contributions of: women, people of color, immigrants, the civil rights movement, the women's suffrage movement, the abolitionist movement, native peoples, religious minorities, the LGBT community, veterans, and other underrepresented groups in history, by June 30, 2022
