SECTION 1. The select board of the town of Oak Bluffs, acting on behalf of the Oak Bluffs Affordable Housing Trust, shall convey to the Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission, a parcel of land, containing approximately 24.29 acres, as shown on Oak Bluffs assessors’ map 42 as lot 2. Title to the parcel is in the name of the Oak Bluffs resident homesite committee as shown in a deed recorded in county of Dukes County registry of deeds in book 547, page 405. Pursuant to the Oak Bluffs by-laws, the resident homesite committee has been abolished and replaced by the Oak Bluffs Affordable Housing Trust which shall be the party named in the deed to the Martha's Vineyard Land Bank Commission.
SECTION 2. As consideration for the conveyance authorized in section 1, the Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission shall convey to the town of Oak Bluffs, a parcel of land acquired for conservation purposes, containing approximately 23.71 acres for affordable housing purposes. The parcel is shown as Parcel “I” on a plan of land entitled “Plan of Land in Oak Bluffs, Mass. Prepared for Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission”, dated November 27, 2018 and prepared by Vineyard Land Surveying, which is a portion of the land shown on Oak Bluffs assessors’ map 41 as lot 2.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage and shall be effective in the town of Oak Bluffs upon its acceptance by a majority of the voters of the town at an annual or a special town meeting.
