Chapter 38 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 2A the following section:-
Section 2B. In the case of a death of a child under the age of 2, the chief medical examiner shall review the findings and report of the medical examiner performing the autopsy; provided that no changes shall be made to the death certificate without the prior approval of the chief medical examiner.
