An Act providing for increased reimbursements for special education costs.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 5A of Chapter 71B of the General Laws is amended by adding at the end the following section: (h) Notwithstanding the foregoing, in school districts where the special education cost for an individual student meets or exceeds $250,000 per year, the reimbursement rate shall be 90 per cent of all the approved costs that exceed 4 times the state average per pupil foundation budget.
