Title VIII. Chapter 52, Section 1 is hereby amended by adding after the following words:
"Each state committee shall consist of one man and one woman from each senatorial district, who shall be residents thereof, to be elected at the presidential primaries by plurality vote of the members of the party in the district, and such number of members as may be appointed by the state committee as hereinafter provided"
..unless any such political party shall have submitted to the Secretary a statement declaring the number of members of such state committee, and specifying any rules for appointing the members of their state committee if by a different method, provided that any such method allows all the registered voters such party to participate either directly, or by some specified method of delegation or representation, on the election of such state committee.
And by adding after the words:
"The members of the state committee elected at the presidential primaries"
...,or if by a different method according to the rules of such party,..
and before the words:
"shall, within ten days after the thirtieth day next following their election, meet and organize for the purpose of choosing a secretary, treasurer, and such other officers, other than a chairman, as they may decide to elect..."
Title VIII. Chapter 52, Section 2 is hereby amended by adding after the following words:
"Each political party shall, in every ward and town, elect at the presidential primaries a ward or town committee from among the members of the party..."
..unless any such political party shall have submitted to the Secretary a statement declaring the number of members of any such ward and town committees, and specifying any rules for appointing the members of any such ward and town committees, if by a different method, provided that any such method allows all the registered voters such party to participate either directly, or by some specified method of delegation or representation, on the election of such state committee
