An Act to allow parties to permit multiple candidates on nomination petitions in their own primaries.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Title VIII. Chapter 53, Section 45 is hereby amended by adding after the following words:
"No nomination paper for use in the nomination of candidates to be voted for at state primaries shall contain the name of more than one candidate..."
unless the state committee of that party allow such in the case of its own state primary in a statement to the Secretary submitted no later than the first day that nomination papers are required to be available.
