An Act to allow parties to permit candidates to run for more than one office in their own primaries.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Title VIII. Chapter 53, Section 46 is hereby amended by adding after the following words:

"No person shall be a candidate for nomination for more than one office; but this shall not apply to candidates for membership in political committees..."

nor shall it apply if the state committee of a political party allow it for nominees within its own state primary.

Title VIII. Chapter 53, Section 48 is hereby amended by adding after the following words:

"No person shall be a candidate for nomination for more than one office; but this shall not apply to candidates for membership in political committees..."
