An Act allowing individuals to protect their voter information.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 4 of section 51 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(f) The name, date of birth, or residential address of any voter in any municipality who so requests shall not appear on the street list and such names shall not be disclosed to any person nor posted publicly for any reason or without that person’s permission. Voters may make such requests in writing to registrars, assistant registrars, the municipal clerk, or boards having similar duties under any general or special law.
