Preamble: Whereas representative democracy depends qualitatively upon the practicable access of voters to elective processes, including elections, primaries, and caucuses.
Section 1: This act may be cited as the “Voter’s Holiday Bill.”
Section 2: Chapter 4 Section 7 Clause 18 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in clause 18, after the word “Thanksgiving Day”, the following words:- “as well as dates for state primaries and presidential primaries as defined by Chapter 53 Section 28 and state elections as defined by Chapter 54 Section 62.”
