An Act authorizing municipalities to use funds for flood control infrastructure and floodplain preservation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Subsection (b) of section 5 of chapter 44B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “community housing;” the following words:- rehabilitation or restoration of historical or recreational projects that are acquired or created prior to 2000, including but not limited to, flood control infrastructures, floodplain preservation;
Subsection (b) of section 5 of chapter 44B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “shall not be used for” the following words;- regular upkeep and general.
