An Act relative to health insurance coverage.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 3 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following new section:-
Section XX. Health Insurance Coverage
All employees of the senate and the house of representatives and joint employees of the general court who are eligible for health insurance benefits and opt to receive health insurance benefits through the commonwealth shall be enrolled as of their employment start date and receive health insurance coverage effective as of their employment start date if such start date falls on the first day of the month, or as of the first day of the month following their employment start date if such start date falls on any day other than the first day of the month.
