An Act relative to no-call, no-show interviews.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

(a) Section 25 of chapter 151A of the Massachusetts General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the words “to apply for suitable employment whenever notified so to do by the employment office,” the following new words:- “or to appear for any employment interview he has scheduled with a potential suitable employer,”.

(b) Section 25 of chapter 151A of the Massachusetts General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after paragraph 1 the following new paragraph:- “The Department of Unemployment Assistance shall establish an online portal for businesses to report individuals who fail to comply with the requirements outlined in paragraph 1.”.
