An Act granting creditable service to Robin Blatt, a member of the state employees' retirement system.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding sections 3 or 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the public good, the state retirement board shall credit Robin Blatt, an employee of the department of public health a member of the state employees' retirement system, with 2 years of creditable service for service Robin Blatt rendered to the department from April 4, 1983 to June 22, 1985 for the purpose of determining Robin Blatt’s superannuation retirement allowance under chapter 32 of the General Laws. Before the date that any retirement allowance becomes effective in the case of Robin Blatt, Robin Blatt shall pay into the annuity savings fund of the state employees’ retirement system, in 1 sum or installments, upon such terms and conditions as the state employees’ retirement system may prescribe, an amount equal to that which would have been withheld as regular deductions from Robin Blatt’s regular compensation for such previous service, as defined in section 1 of said chapter 32. Such payment shall not be subject to any interest payment. This act shall not affect any other retirement benefits that Robin Blatt may otherwise be entitled to.
