An Act relative to the position of police chief in the town of Leicester.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Kenneth M. Antanavica, Police Chief of the Town of Leicester, may continue to serve in the position of Police Chief until April 30, 2025, or until the date of his retirement; provided, however, that he is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of his office. No further deductions shall be made from the regular compensation of Kenneth M. Antanavica under Chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to April 30, 2023, and upon retirement, he shall receive a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired on that date.
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
