An Act relating to the retirement of Charles Bletzer, an employee of the Trial Court of the Commonwealth.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary affecting the noncontributory or contributory retirement system in the commonwealth, the state board of retirement shall provide Charles Bletzer, an employee of the Trial Court who is permanently incapacitated from performing the essential duties of his position, a superannuation retirement allowance as provided by sections 5 and 10 of chapter 32, at the rate of eighty percent of his high three-year average salary.

SECTION 2. In the event that the said Charles Bletzer elects to retire under option B or option C of paragraph (2) of section 12 of chapter 32, said superannuation retirement allowance shall be reduced pursuant to said election.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
