Resolve authorizing the study of cost of living increases for state police retirees.
Resolved, That there shall be a special commission to examine the feasibility of increases to Cost of Living Adjustments for retirees of the Massachusetts State Police. The commission shall consist of the chairs of the joint committee on public service, the executive director of the state retirement board, a member to be appointed by the chair of the MA public employee retirement administration commission and the president of MA retirees.
Said commission shall report to the house and senate committees on ways and means the results of its investigation recommendations together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry said recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the clerks of the house of representatives and senate on or before January 1, 2024.
