An Act relative to private detectives and private investigators.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 30A of chapter 90 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the term “policies,” the following words:- private detectives and private investigators as defined in section 22 of chapter 147 and licensed in accordance with section 25 of chapter 147,
SECTION 2. Section 30 of chapter 147 is hereby amended by adding the following two paragraphs:-
12. Use computer data or equipment under the control of the registrar of motor vehicles in accordance with section 30A of chapter 90 for any purpose inconsistent with (2) of section 22 of chapter 147.
13. Access the facial recognition system operated by the registry of motor vehicles.
And by inserting after the term “both” the following words: - provided, the license of a licensee who violates paragraphs 12 and 13 shall be revoked
