An Act relative to out of state citations.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the definition of “Bus or motor bus” the following new definition:- “Careless driving”, a person who drives a vehicle carelessly, or without due caution and circumspection, in a manner so as to endanger, or be likely to endanger, a person or property.

SECTION 2. Said chapter is hereby amended by adding the following new section at the end thereof:-

Section 64: Citation Parity

The registrar shall provide parity with out of state citations processed in Massachusetts including, but not limited to, careless driving citations, speeding citations, and expired registration citations.
