An Act relative to business transactions.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 407 of the Act of 2022 is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (c) the following new subsection:-

(d) subsection (b) shall not apply to purchases from persons with a business registered with the secretary of state that are regularly engaged in the business of manufacturing catalytic converters or vehicles, or that are regularly engaged in the business of generating detached used catalytic converters in the ordinary course of the seller's business. For these purchases the buyer will be required to capture and retain the date, time, quantity of convertors and documentation of being in the licensed business.
