An Act authorizing the town of Harvard to establish and enforce speed limits on certain public ways in the town.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Harvard may establish and enforce the following speed limits for motor vehicles travelling on the following town ways and portions of town ways in said town:

(a) Ann Lees road, 25 miles per hour;

(b) Ayer road from the police department to route 2, 35 miles per hour;

(c) Ayer road from route 2 to the Ayer town line, 35 miles per hour;

(d) Blanchard road, 25 miles per hour;

(e) Bolton road from the Bolton town line to Massachusetts avenue, 30 miles per hour;

(f) Brown road, 30 miles per hour;

(g) Cleaves Hill road, 30 miles per hour;

(h) Depot road, 30 miles per hour;

(i) East Bare Hill road, 30 miles per hour;

(j) Lancaster County road, 30 miles per hour;

(k) Littleton County road, 30 miles per hour;

(l) Littleton road from the center of town to Whitney road, 30 miles per hour;

(m) Littleton road from Whitney road to the Littleton town line, 35 miles per hour;

(n) Madigan lane, 25 miles per hour;

(o) Mill road, 25 miles per hour;

(p) Myrick lane, 25 miles per hour;

(q) Oak Hill road, 30 miles per hour;

(r) Old Littleton road, 30 miles per hour;

(s) Old Mill road, 30 miles per hour;

(t) Old Schoolhouse road, 20 miles per hour;

(u) Old Shirley road, 30 miles per hour; except that the sharp curve between 28 and 35 Old Shirley road may be set at 20 miles per hour;

(v) Pinnacle road, 30 miles per hour;

(w) Poor Farm road, 30 miles per hour; except that the school zone may be set at 20 miles per hour;

(x) Prospect Hill road, 35 miles per hour; except that the sharp curve between 4 and 14 Prospect Hill road may be set at 20 miles per hour;

(y) Scott road, 30 miles per hour

(z) Shaker road, 25 miles per hour;

(aa) Slough road, 30 miles per hour;

(bb) South Shaker road, 25 miles per hour;

(cc) Still River road from the Bolton town line to West Bare Hill road, 35 miles per hour;

(dd) Still River road from West Bare Hill road to Willow road, 30 miles per hour; except that Still River road at Saint Benedict Abbey and Saint Benedict Center may be set at 20 miles per hour;

(ee) Still River Depot road, 20 miles per hour;

(ff) Tahanto trail, 30 miles per hour;

(gg) Warren avenue, 25 miles per hour;

(hh) West Bare Hill road, 30 miles per hour; except that the sharp curves between 47 and 62 West Bare Hill road may be set at 20 miles per hour;

(ii) Westcott road, 30 miles per hour; and

(jj) Woodchuck Hill road, 30 miles per hour.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
