An Act relative to accidental disability retirement for Chatham Police Officer William Little.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions set forth in section 16 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, or any other general or special laws to the contrary, and in order to promote the public good, William Little, a police officer in the Chatham Police Department, who was injured in the line of duty and, as a result, is permanently incapacitated from performing the essential duties of a police officer, shall be allowed an extension of the time to appeal the decision of the Barnstable County Retirement Association for a period of thirty days after the passage of this act.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
