An Act designating a portion of state highway route 28 in the town of Harwich as the Alphonso Palmer Rogers highway.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The portion of state highway route 28 in the town of Harwich from the Dennis town line to the Chatham town line shall be designated and known as the Alphonso Palmer Rogers Highway, in honor of EM1 Alphonso Palmer Rogers, a two-time Purple Heart recipient for his service in the United States Navy during the 2nd World War in the Pacific Theatre. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is hereby directed to erect suitable markers along said highway bearing said designation in accordance with the standards of the department.
