An Act changing the name of the Board of Selectmen of the town of Gosnold to Selectboard.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or by-law to the contrary, the executive body of the town of Gosnold, previously known as the board of selectmen, shall be known as the selectboard and shall have all of the powers and authority of a board of selectmen under any general or special law or by-law. The members of the selectboard, previously known as selectmen, shall be known as selectboard members.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on its passage.
