By Representative Vieira of Falmouth, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of David T. Vieira for legislation to designate a certain bridge on state Route 28 in the town of Falmouth as the Kevin P. Quinn. memorial bridge.  Transportation.

An Act designating Childs River Overpass Route 28 Falmouth for Marine Combat Veteran Kevin P. Quinn.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

The bridge located on Route 28 over Child’s River in Waquoit, Bridge No. F03001-47N-DOT-NBI, in the town of Falmouth shall be designated and known as the Kevin P. Quinn. Memorial Bridge. In memory of Kevin P. Quinn, of Mashpee  who honorably served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, with the U.S. Marine Corps. Kevin was killed on July 31, 2018 in a vehicle collision while traveling home after visiting his wife and newborn daughter at Cape Cod Hospital.  The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers on the bridge bearing such designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
