SECTION 1: Bridge M07001 (43T) spanning the North River in the towns of Marshfield and Norwell shall be designated and known as the “Lt. David S. Cutler Memorial Bridge” in honor of David S. Cutler, a veteran, businessman, journalist, and long-time resident of the South Shore who served in active duty for the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and earned a Purple Heart and a Navy commendation medal for his meritorious service while attempting to rescue one of his men in the Demilitarized Zone.
SECTION 2. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
