By Representative Livingstone of Boston and Senator Edwards, a joint petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Jay D. Livingstone and Lydia Edwards relative to designating the Greatest Neighborhood Park, in the West End neighborhood of the city of Boston, as the Jim Campano park.  Transportation.

An Act designating a the Greatest Neighborhood Park, in the city of Boston, as the “Jim Campano Park".

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. The Greatest Neighborhood Park, on Nashua Street at Martha Road, in the West End neighborhood in the city of Boston shall be designated and known as the “Jim Campano Park” in recognition of the decades of service the late Jim Campano dedicated to the West End neighborhood and its residents, including as the founder of and long-time participant with respect to the West End Museum, the West Ender Newsletter, and the Old West End Housing Corporation.

Section 2. After consultation with the department of transportation, West End Civic Association (WECA) may erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
