An Act authorizing the town of Somerset to acquire interests in land for sewer purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 1 of chapter 83 and section 14 of chapter 40 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Town of Somerset is hereby authorized to acquire, by donation, grant, or exercise of eminent domain, interests in lands located wholly or in part within the Town of Swansea and elsewhere for sewer purposes sufficient to carry out the Somerset Wastewater Pump Station Upgrades Project for which State Financial Assistance has been offered under the Clean Water State Revolving Fund as CWSRF No. 8360.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
