By Representative Frost of Auburn, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Paul K. Frost and Ryan C. Fattman that the Worcester County Retirement Board be authorized to credit Curtis Meskus, a member of the Worcester regional retirement system, with creditable service for certain active duty service.  Public Service.

An Act directing the Worcester County Retirement Board to credit Curtis Meskus.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Worcester regional  retirement board shall credit Curtis Meskus, a member of the Worcester regional retirement system, with creditable service for 4 years of active duty service with the United States Air Force, pursuant to paragraph (h) of subdivision (1) of section 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, for the purpose of determining his superannuation retirement allowance. The retirement system shall confirm exact dates of Curtis Meskus’ military service.

SECTION 2. Eligibility for this creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment by Curtis Meskus to the Worcester regional retirement system, in an amount equal to that which would have been withheld as regular deductions from his regular compensation for such previous service, in 1 lump sum or installments, as the Worcester regional retirement board shall proscribe.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
