An Act requiring immunizations against preventable diseases.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 15 of chapter 76 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the first paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
No child shall, except as hereinafter provided, be admitted to school except upon presentation of a physician's certificate that the child has been successfully immunized against: (a) diphtheria, (b) pertussis, (c) tetanus, (d) measles, (e) poliomyelitis, (f) human papilloma virus, (g) hepatitis A, according to the schedule and dosage recommended by the centers for disease control, and (h) such other communicable diseases as may be specified from time to time by the department of public health.
SECTION 2. Said section 15 of said chapter 76, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by adding the following sentence: - The department of public health shall promulgate regulations to implement this section.
