An Act designating Pastene Day in Massachusetts.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The Governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart October 17th, as Pastene Day in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Pastene Day shall be recognized to celebrate the company’s 150 years of operation, its unwavering commitment to family, the community, and the generations of Massachusetts residents nourished and employed by the Pastene Companies Ltd., a staple of Massachusetts business and culture.
The Governor shall recommend that Pastene Day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including but not limited to activities and events that highlight the Pastene Companies Ltd.’s history, achievements, and ongoing contributions.
This Act shall take effect immediately upon passage.
