An Act relative to motor vehicle insurance.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to update motor vehicle insurance, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 34A of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 102, the words “at least twenty thousand dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- not less than $25,000.
SECTION 2. Said section 34A of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in lines 104 and 105, the words “at least forty thousand dollars” and inserting in place thereof the words:- not less than $50,000.
SECTION 3. Section 34O of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 17, the words “five thousand dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- $30,000.
