An Act relative to designating the Rumney Marsh as the Joseph T. James area of critical environmental concern.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

      The Rumney Marsh, bordering the cities of Lynn and Revere and the town of Saugus, a 600-acre salt marsh within the Saugus and Pines River Inlet, shall be designated and known as the Joseph T. James memorial area of critical environmental concern, in memory of environmental activist, and long-time president of the Friends of Rumney Marsh, Inc., Joseph T. James of Revere.

      The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker and signage bearing this designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
