An Act relative to creditable service for certain members of the Massachusetts Teachers’ Retirement System.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (p) of subsection (1) of section 4 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding, after the words “teaching position” in the first sentence, the following: “or support position.”
SECTION 2. Paragraph (p) of subsection (1) of section 4 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking, in the first sentence, the words “in teaching pupils in any non-public school in the commonwealth,” and inserting in their place thereof: “in any teaching position or related services in any non-public school in the commonwealth, that would otherwise qualify said member for creditable service had it been provided in any public school, and”.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
