An Act relative to town meeting notice.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Strike the following sentence within Section 5 of Chapter 43A:
“The town clerk shall notify the town meeting members of the time and place at which representative town meetings are to be held, the notices to be sent by mail at least seven days before the meeting.”
Replace with:
“The town clerk shall notify the town meeting members of the time and place at which representative town meetings are to be held. The town clerk shall also notify town meeting members that town meeting members and residents may choose to attend in person or through an electronic method, selected by the town moderator, The notices shall be sent by mail at least seven days before the meeting.”
