Frost and David Henry Argosky LeBoeuf that the Worcester County Retirement Board be authorized to credit Nathan Hagglund, a member of the Worcester regional retirement system, with certain creditable service in the town of Leicester.  Public Service.

An Act directing the Worcester County Retirement Board to credit Nathan Hagglund.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Worcester regional retirement board shall credit Nathan Hagglund, a member of the Worcester regional retirement system, with creditable service for his part-time, per diem and on call service with the town of Leicester’s police, fire and emergency medical services departments during the period of 1994 to 2001, inclusive, for the purpose of determining his superannuation retirement allowance pursuant to said chapter 32. The board shall confirm exact dates of Nathan Hagglund’s service and credit him with creditable service for the amount of actual time worked during this period in accordance with section 4 of said chapter 32 .

SECTION 2. Eligibility for the creditable service authorized in section 1 shall be conditioned upon payment by Nathan Hagglund to the Worcester regional retirement system, in an amount equal to that which would have been withheld as regular deductions from his regular compensation for such previous service, in 1 lump sum or installments, as the Worcester regional retirement board shall prescribe.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
