An Act relative to polling locations in the city of Gloucester.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 24 of chapter 54 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city council of the city of Gloucester shall designate the polling place for each voting precinct in a public, orderly and convenient portion of the precinct; provided, however, that if the city council determines that the public convenience would be better served, it may designate a polling place in any other precinct of the city.
