SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 30B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Andover may change from school purposes to general municipal purposes the use of a parcel of land at the Shawsheen School, so called, conveyed to the town of Andover for such school purposes in a deed from the American Woolen Company, which deed is dated February 16, 1925 and recorded in the Northern Essex district registry of deeds at book 509, page 278. Such general municipal purposes may include, but shall not be limited to, school and town administrative office purposes, and said parcel shall be under the care, custody and control of the select board.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
